Over the past 22 years AJ has built her career in the social services sector, specialising in addictions, youth work and education. She has worked across the sector from grass roots to national organisations. AJ is an excellent listener and commits to being fully present in her sessions. She considers it a privilege to work with some of the most vulnerable people within our communities and for them to trust her with their stories. AJ has taken this same approach into external supervision which she has been providing since 2015 when she was trained in bicultural supervision/kaitiakitanga at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. AJ has created her own model of practice which is centred on the following values: presence, integrity, confidence, acceptance and empathy.

Bruce is experienced in not-for-profit social service leadership and management as well as having 30 years' experience in supervision, family therapy, social work and community development.

Carol originally trained as a Montessori teacher then went on to study nursing, working primarily in mental health - during which time she did the dual-diagnosis training. Training as a counsellor saw Carol working for over 10 years in tertiary institutions and relieving as a school counsellor, as well as working in private practice for over 15 years.

As an experienced counsellor in all work-based issues, or personal issues that may impact on work, Debbie also provides forensic, professional and clinical supervision, group facilitation, mediation, training and education.

Diane is particularly experienced in issues relating to family violence, working closely with social service, police and other community agencies.

Gill has worked as a clinical supervisor since the 1990s and has a strengths-based, collaborative approach to supervision practice. In supervision, Gill will work alongside you with a focus on the best interests of the tangata whai ora you serve. Gill and the supervisee will create an agreement together to ensure clear roles and responsibilities, and provide a robust platform for supporting best practice, celebrating successes and finding creative solutions for the challenges of our mahi. Gill is committed to her ongoing journey developing a bicultural approach to life, work and supervision practice. Her supervision services are available for anyone working with people. This includes managers, other supervisors and front line workers in a range of professions from health, education, health improvement practitioners, matanga whai ora, social services, youth workers, pastors, volunteers, and allied health workers. Appointments are often in-person in her office in Palmerston North but can easily be in your work place or adapted to suit you, including video/Zoom supervision and/or phone consults.

Joanne currently supervises various counsellors and social workers within the community and wider community. Joanne has an extensive background working alongside whānau/family and their young people, supporting individuals in their parenting roles, and working alongside the intricate relationships which exist inside the whānau/family unit.

Karen has worked with a range of professionals (social workers, teacher, nurses, counsellors etc) who work across a range of fields and contexts as well as supervising other supervisors in their practices.

Karen works from a strengths-based approach, using reflective practice, and social work theories along with a bicultural lens on practice. Key supervision frameworks which influence her supervision are Kolb’s learning cycle and developmental approaches, as well as tangata whenua models.

Lynley provides supervision in the areas of trauma, attachment assessment, child and relational therapies. As people have different styles of expressing themselves and learning, Lynley uses a variety of approaches and whatever she does is mutually agreed upon and developed together.

Marcia has been counselling for over 20 years and has an eclectic approach to counselling. She regularly updates her practice with ongoing training and learning. Social justice and recognising interrelatedness of life underpin Marcia's systems approach to her work and life.

Mary is an eclectic counsellor and uses many strategies that she tailors to the issues brought to the counselling room. Mary believes that every person is the expert in their own lives and that they have huge resources that they often just need help in accessing.

Neil has extensive experience as a professional supervisor in private practice. Neil specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy tools, skills and strategies for self-management. Neil provides cognitive support programmes to individuals and onsite programs for some of New Zealand’s largest companies. Neil has completed post graduate studies in therapeutic programs and professional supervision. Neil’s depth of leadership and professional experience provides a solid platform from which to assist CEOs, managers and practitioners maintain professional best practice and work-life balance.

Nici has worked in social service agency settings as counsellor, clinical supervisor and manager for over 10 years. She has supervised counsellors, psychologists, social workers and other caring professionals for the last 6 years.

Nici has a focus on wellness models in her supervision. A holistic and wellness approach to supervision sees people as intrinsically relational beings of mind, body and soul. She is supportive with a strengths-based view.
