She provides individual supervision to clients from a variety of workplaces and her training as a psychodramatist means Joss has vast experience with groups for supervision and also personal development. 

Joss' special interest is in helping clients build self-esteem, self-compassion, personal growth and fulfilment. She assists clients to find new direction after the loss of a job and when entering a new stage in life, and trauma work is another area she provides appropriate support for.

Katrina is an experienced and committed counsellor, supervisor and group facilitator, who has worked in both the public and private sector. This includes extensive experience in Ara Poutama/Department of Corrections.  Katrina is focused on wellbeing, regardless of an individual’s background or circumstances.  Her aim is to support people to function at their best, offering a safe place to express themselves freely, illuminate their own thoughts and feelings, and find solutions for positive outcomes.  The therapeutic process supports an individual’s ability to develop lasting tools/strategies to overcome their issues of concern, and to experience a more meaningful and enjoyable life. Kit has been practicing social work since 1999, fulfilling roles of social worker, supervisor, practice leader and community liaison. She is an advocate for the profession, appreciating the holistic view of context and systems.

Working with tamariki and their whanau to support safety and well-being has underpinned Kit’s career. With extensive experience in statutory and hospital-based settings, she has developed specialised knowledge in maternity, paediatrics, mental health, addictions, family harm, and the underlying components of trauma. Valuing multi-disciplinary/agency collaboration, Kit has well established connections, providing a sound understanding of the community and NGO sector.

A post-graduate diploma in practice teaching for students was the start of Kit’s passion for developing social workers, leading naturally to post-graduate study in social work supervision. Kit believes strongly in the importance of relational, reflective supervision for social workers and leaders of practice and promotes robust case and clinical supervision that builds safety and capability.
