Lyn initially emerged as a counsellor over 30 years ago from a strong health background having owned and operated a nursing bureau. Although initially having trained generically, as a counsellor, she went on to specialise in addictions and mental health and was manager and clinical director of an addiction service for many years. Approximately 10 years ago Lyn brought her clinical skills back into the generic counselling world which gives her a rather strong skillset to call on in her current role as both counsellor and clinical leader for a Family and Sexual Harm Centre. Lyn enjoys the brief intervention work as a Vitae counsellor and the immense variety of clients and issues working for this company brings. She works eclectically and sees her strengths as working in my specialties with strong capability in mental health issues, stress related issues and behaviours, and trauma related issues and behaviours.
Lyn places much emphasis on the relationship between body and mind and works wholistically with persons of all cultures and ethnicities.
